Custom Backgrounds and Sounds in LookAway

It's been a while since I added any new major features to LookAway. I was mostly busy fixing annoying bugs. Another reason is that I got a laser eye surgery recently and I was supposed to look away from the screen as much as possible.

I've recovered well now, so without further ado, let me share two new major updates I've added to the latest version of LookAway:

Custom backgrounds

LookAway has always been using your wallpaper as the break background, but now you can change it to whatever image or photo you like.

There's also a curated selection of beautiful gradients you can choose from if you're feeling lazy.

Head over to Settings -> Customization to get started.

More sounds

Not everyone enjoyed the default break sounds. So in this update, I've added more sounds to choose from (Tibetan bells sound is my favorite - thanks to Cat and James for suggesting this).

Keeping the spirit of high customizability alive, you can upload your own sounds too! Also, you can now adjust the volume of the sounds.

Smaller fixes and updates

• You can now change the break countdown from 5 seconds to 10 seconds
• The cooldown period after a meeting or video playback has been extended from 20 seconds to 1 minute, giving you more breathing room before your next break
• Previously, LookAway would prevent idle detection during video playback. This has been fixed.
• When you upgrade your license, the new updates expiry date now reflects correctly in the manage license window
